Frequently Asked Questions: Madison Pharmacy Good Neighbor Prescription Savings Plan
What is the Good Neighbor Prescription Savings Plan?
The Good Neighbor Prescription Savings Plan is an affordable discount drug program. It was developed by retail pharmacists to help individuals, families, and employers from overpaying unnecessarily for prescription medications. You can save on over 5,000 name brand and generic medications. There are no prior-authorizations required and people of all ages can reap benefits from these savings all year long.
Why is this available?
Many of today’s high cost medications (brand name drugs and recently approved generics) are little more than slight modifications of an original product. In many cases the difference is merely an extended relief product for convenience. For example, if a patient is willing to give up a little convenience and take a medication two or three times a day instead of once a day, they can receive equal therapeutic benefit at a fraction of the cost without any loss of quality.
Who can benefit?
This Good Neighbor Prescription Savings Plan is beneficial to everyone, especially individuals without Rx insurance, those individuals whose insurance plans have limited Drug Formulary’s, individuals with high prescription co-pays, and even those individuals on mandatory mail order. Ask our Customer Care Representative for details on how The Good Neighbor Prescription Savings Plan can provide significant savings on medications for you and your families.
What medications are included?
Hundreds of the most commonly used generic drugs are included on the Formulary and are available at the set low price of $5.95 per prescription for a 30-day supply and $12.95 for a 90-day supply per prescription. Medications not on the Formulary are available at a discounted price.

Why is The Good Neighbor Prescription Plan Different from all others?
There are lesser quality prescription card programs on the market that may seem similar. Some may charge a monthly fee and others that don’t offer as much of a savings. Those cards don’t benefit the consumer as much as they do the company who issues the card. Our Pharmacy always puts the customer first….. Madison Pharmacy will always consult with your physician and search our formulary for the most advantageous and cost-effective medication protocol for your appropriate disease state. Our Pharmacy will offer free complimentary membership in the Good Neighbor Prescriptions Savings Plan to all new applicants for the first year of service and will deliver your medications to your door.
